Born a pampered tanjavur tambram. Filter kaapi (coffee) rules. RF Engineer. Sucker for laughter. Travels here and there, but loves home. Only baggage carried is a shopping bag. Clicks her smile often and is usually day dreaming :). Watches a movie or sitcom while eating dinner everyday with her hubby. Loves being a child with her son. Hate superstitions but I believe in instincts.

I have always lived out of a suitcase all my life. Hence, my palate has been introduced to quite a lot of flavors. I am just another normal person who has a uncanny passion for travel and food. My culinary guru's? hmmmm...there are lots of them. My paati (grandma) for her kaapi (coffee); the chaat vendor outside my brandra home; Mike, who makes the best museli at the farmer's market, Vasanthi aunty for her healthy soups and savories; Shobha Aunty's bajji's.....there are so many people in my life who are so passionate about quality food! 

W 'Rite' Food is a food blog with a hint of my life's flavors. It is a stage where in I showcase my passion for cookery and culinary and ramble about everyday nothings. I love to cook, travel, photograph and write. Hence, you will see a lot of the above in W 'Rite' Food.

I know for sure, no food tastes better than the one fed by a loving hand. Thanks to my mother , mother in law, aunts and my loving partner in every crime, Avi for always encouraging me to do better (he is my food critic too!).

Each of these recipes have been cooked and relished by my family and myself. I do advise, that instead of following the instructions blindly, follow your instincts and palate keeping the instructions and tips in your mind for guidance. It is then that you will relish the symphony of aroma and flavor. Cooking to me is nothing but striking the delicate balance between different flavors.
