I have tried a billion recipes to make a quickie chocolate cake! Either they tasted nothing like cake or the microwave was smoking all over:). This one is for keeps. It was a perfect tea/coffee cake to be had at afternoons.
Lots seems to have changed since I went on a break. The weather is hotter than India (We had a heat wave yesterday), we have new neighbors, there are splashing sounds heard at the nearby pool until late evenings, the ice-cream truck visits often, Google plus is the new FB and even the look of blogger is changed.
While coping with all the home bound changes, I was thrilled to bits when the cake worked. It was quick and perfect for the eggless fussies. I felt the cake was very light, fluffy and soft. So don't bother icing these cakes, they are sure to break.
This recipe is from LG recipe book (the one you get with the microwave). Thanks to Shanta Aunty for lending the book to me.
Ingredients:-
1 cup of flour
3/4 cup of sugar (add accd to taste)
1/2 cup of curds/plain yogurt

1/2 tsp of baking soda
5 tble spns of milk
2 tble spns of coco powder
Method:-
Beat the curd, cream and sugar until fluffy.
Sieve flour, baking soda, baking powder, coco powder and mix well.
Mix the above into the cream mixture slowly with milk. Stir gradually.
