I loved the below canto from "The Prophet". Avi and myself loved it as it just portrays what we think of marriage.
You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But,
Let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heaven dance between you.
Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fills each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hands of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cyprus grow not in each other's shadow.

Today's recipe is a yumm bhindi special. For all those who love bhindi/Okra, this is one dish you must try. Even if you aren't a bhindi/okra lover, you will want it more after having this dish.I normally make it when guests come as this is a deep fry recipe (so that Avi and myself do not gobble it up!). Eat moderately for good health.
Ingredients:-
300 grams of sliced okra/bhindi/lady's finger
1/2 cup of gram flour/besan
1/4 cup of rice flour
1 tsp amchur
1 tsp cumin powder
1.5 tsp red chilli powder (According to taste)
2 tble spns of broken cashews
1 small onion sliced thin
1/4 cup of water
oil to deep fry
salt to taste
Method:-
Mix all the above to make a thick batter coating the okra.
Do not add too much water as the okra starts to sweat in sometime.Keep this mixture aside and start to heat the oil for frying.
Check if the batter is coating the okra well, if not sprinkle some water and mix well till it does.
Fry the okras in small batches till you find them crisp and golden brown.Take out the extra oil by dabbing them on a kitchen tissue.
Serve hot as an appetizer or side dish.
