What is happening at my end do you ask? My new passion; playing pool. I so so want to get better at that game (at least one game that I can say I am decent in :) ).
If you know me well, you would know I have my own idiosyncrasies that come with me as a package. For eg., Since childhood, I detest ice-creams for some reason. Well, I melt kulfi to make it rabdi and relish it. Yea... My natural and normal humanly behaviors sometimes belies the inner idiosyncrasies that comes with me. Another eg., I can eat anything with ketchup, from upma to pulao. Yea..there are many more and thank God Avi finds them either cute or funny.
So please do relish this dessert and good luck biting into the cold...hahahaa....
Ingredients:-
1 lts of whole milk
1/4 cup sugar.
1 can of condensed milk
1 tsp Elaichi (cardamon) powder
pinch of saffron strands in 1/4 cup of warm milk (soak for half hour)
8-10 finely chopped/crushed Pistachios and Almonds
Method:-
Take 1 lts of whole milk and boil it in the microwave till the quantity reduces to half of the original amount. This takes around half an hour.
Add condensed milk and saffron milk. Keep it inside the microwave for another 15 minutes.
You may do the above two steps on a stove too.
Add elaichi (cardamon) powder.
Add chopped nuts and mix well.
Keep this mixture in a deep dish in a freezer for an half an hour.
Get it out and beat it till its creamy and thick.
Repeat this another 2 times. This avoids the crystal formation.
The third time, pour the mixture in the kulfi cones and freeze it overnight (or 8 hours).
