Paneer Chilli

The simplest dish that cannot go wrong and will win you accolades. This Indo-Chinese dish can be served as an appetizer or as a side dish. Paneer chilli will for sure scintillate your buds to an extent that you will crave for some more each time you make/order it. So here is the recipe...

Ingredients:-
20-25 pieces of paneer (1 inch cubes)
1 medium-sized onion, sliced thin
1 tbl spn of ginger-garlic paste
1 pod garlic, finely chopped
2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
1 small green bell pepper, chopped
1 small red bell pepper, chopped
1 tbl spn tomato puree
2 tbl spn soy sauce
1 tbl spn vinegar
pinch of MSG/aginomoto
1 tbl spn corn starch mixed with 5 tbsp water
2 tbl spn green onion, chopped
4 tbsp cooking oil

salt to taste
Method:-
Heat 2 tbl spn oil in the pan and fry the paneer cubes to golden brown on all sides.Once done, drain the oil well and wipe them with kitchen tissues. Put them in a bowl of warm water so that they don't harden.
In a pan, heat the other 2 tbl spns of oil at medium flame. Add the garlic, ginger-garlic paste and green chillies. Keep stirring.
Add the sliced onion and fry till transparent. Add the bell capsicums and fry till they are cooked but are crisp. Do not let them become soft.
Add the paneer, vinegar, tomato sauce and soya sauce. Mix well.
Add the cornstarch mixture and MSG/ajinomoto. Mix well.
Let it cook for around a minute for the paneer to soak in all the flavors. Stir occasionally, but carefully.
Take off the flame.
Garnish it with chopped green onions.
