You can never go wrong with Sanjeev Kapoor's recipe :)
2 cups of besan/gram flour
3/4th cup of powdered sugar (or according to taste)
3/4 cup of ghee (melted)
4 cardamom seeds crushed
1/4 cups of crushed almonds and cashews (use a mortar)
Melt the ghee in a heated pan.
Sieve the besan and add it to the pan and stir frequently.
Keep the pan in low flame and stir until you get a distinct aroma and the color of the besan becomes light brown. This takes half hour.
Add the cardamom, almonds and cashews and stir for another 10 minutes.
Take out the pan from the heat.
Add powdered sugar and mix well.
Make ping pong ball size laddoos and enjoy.
