Banana Halwa-saivrat 4

Do you have ripe bananas in some corner of you kitchen that you want to finish before they rot? This is the ideal recipe. You will never have to over stuff your self or throw ripe bananas. This recipe takes very little time to make and is yum! My friend Amari wanted to make a sweet and I guess she didn't want to make a trip to walmart. So, this lovely warm dessert is dedicated to her.

Ingredients:-
4 ripe bananas mashed well
6 tbl spns of sugar (and increase or decrease according to your taste)
2 cardamom, shell them and crush the seeds
3-4 tbl spn of ghee
cashews (for each ball sized halwa you need one to garnish)

Method:-
In a pan heat 2 tbl sps of ghee. Keep the heat to medium.Fry cashews to very light brown and keep aside.
Add the mashed bananas and sugar in the pan. Stir frequently as the mixture bubbles and turns from cream color to nice light brown color.
Add the crushed cardamom and mix well.
Add another 2tbl spns of ghee and cook for 5 mins. To check if the halwa is ready, take a spoonful in plate. Let it cool a little and see if you can roll it between your fingers.
If so, then the halwa is done. Let it rest for another 5 mins, so that it cools and it will be confortable to roll them into lemon sized balls.
Garnish each of the halwa balls with a fried cashew on top as shown.
