Mushroom Manchurian n Mushroom Manchurian Roll

How can any one not relish this Indo-Chinese appetizer? Yummm.....This is a must learn recipe!!!....was a super hit at home!

Ingredients:-

20 closed cup mushrooms (cleaned and quartered)
Oil for Deep Frying

For Batter:-

5 tbl spn of all purpose flour/Maida
2 tbl spn of corn starch
1 tbl spn of vinegar
1 tbl spn of soya sauce
1 tbl spn of ginger-garlic paste
1 tbl spn of red chilli (according to taste)
1 cup of onions and capsicum chopped finely (say one inch squares).
salt to taste

Marinate for at least half hour.

Tip:- The batter must be as thick as possible, as the mushroom themselves give out water. Please have a look at the below picture.

For the Sweet n Sour Coating:-

1 Green Onion finely chopped for garnishing
2-3 large cloves of Garlic, thinly sliced
3-4 Green chillies, thinly sliced

3 tbl spn or more of Maggi tomato sweet and sour sauce (this is ideal- or else try normal ketchup and soak some 1/2 t spn of sugar with the marination batter)
1/4 t spn of ajinomoto
2 tbl spns of oil.

Method:-

Deep fry the marinated mushrooms mixture.
Keep aside on a paper towel.

In wok/pan heat oil.
Add garlic and green chillies and fry well.
Add the mushroom mixture to the wok.
Add the maggi sauce and ajinomoto and fry well for about 2 minutes.
Garnish with green onions (Ideal)/coriander leaves
Serve Hot.

Mushroom Manchurian Roll:-

This is yummy picnic snack:-

Take a Chapati/pulka/roti/pita bread and just smear some lemon juice on it.
