Peas Stuffed Aloo tikki, Sada Aloo tikki









 
Ingredients:

3 medium Potatoes, boiled and mashed
1/2 t sp Jeera/Cumin Seed powder
1/2 t spn red chilli powder
1/2 t spn garam masala
2 tbl spn corn flour
1 tbl spn of ginger-garlic paste
1 medium Onion, chopped finely
1 tsp Garam Masala
Bread crumbs
Salt to taste

Stuffing:- (not needed for sada aloo tikki)
½ cup Green Peas, well cooked and mashed
¼ tsp Asafoetida
1 tsp Amchur/Dry Mango Powder
2-3 Green Chillies
Salt to taste

Bread crumbs for making the tikki surface crisp.
***



 
Mix all the ingredients in the first set and make fine balls.
Mix all the stuffing ingredients . (not needed for sada tikki)
Stuff the peas masala into the balls and make them into cutlets as shown below. For sada tikki, just make cutlets out of the potato mixture.
cover the surface of the tikkis with bread crumbs. This is done by patting the tikki on the crumbs on both the sides.
In a pan heat 5 tbl spoons of oil and shallow fry these tikkis till they are well cooked and crisp.
Serve hot with chole, sev, mint chutney and meetha chutney.

These tikkis can be made without the stuffing also as shown below:-
